Update from P5

Despite the snow and the rain, P5 have been out and about!

Last week, we visited the Science Centre to consolidate our learning on Electricity. We have been learning about how to create electric circuits and what materials are conductors and insulators. At the Science Centre, we learned more about static electricity and how we can pass electricity through electric sticks.

As part of Fairtrade Fortnight, we have been identifying Fairtrade products and learning about where these products grow. We have been looking closely at cotton and where it grows. We worked in co-operative groups to order the journey of cotton, from the plant to the shops.

In Maths, we have been learning about money and decimals. We have been adding and subtracting decimals and we are beginning to look closer at budgeting.

During Lent, we are trying to, fast, pray and give. We made a Lenten tree and we have turned over a new leaf this Lent.
