P3 Visit the Library

After completing our First Minister’s Reading Challenge, Primary 3 wanted to explore a wider variety of books. Since visiting the library earlier in the year, many of us joined the library and got our very own library cards.  Today we brought our cards with us, some for the very first time. We enjoyed the independence of using the library system and choosing books for ourselves.

Louise and the team shared a variety of books linked to our topic, Oceans and Seas, and we enjoyed having a go at drawing creatures from some of the books we were shown.

Back in school we will be learning how to use our very own library system “Junior Librarian”. This will help us record how much we are reading and make it easier to find books.

If you would like more information on joining the library for free please click here. Your library card can be used at any library within Aberdeen City and, if you cannot find a book you like at your local library, you can request a book from the library catalogue to be delivered to your local library.
