P6/7 September

Welcome to P6/7!

All the children have settled back into school life very well. We are enjoying our new classroom and are looking forward to the year ahead!

Literacy

We will continue to cover all aspects of literacy in class including spelling and grammar. Taught writing opportunitites will be linked to our topic.

Numeracy

Mental Maths opportunities will continue on a daily basis. Our Maths and Numeracy focus is currently on number and number processes, focussing specifically on a digit, its place and value.

Topic

We are going to be learning about the importance of a democratic world and will be focusing on the European Union.

Homework

Homework will be issued on a Monday and should be returned by Friday. Homework will mainly consist of reading, online maths games and occasional topic or health and wellbeing activities. Homework can be found on Google Classroom. Each pupil has their own login and password.

Gym Days

Gym days will be on a Monday and Friday. Football will be on a Thursday. Please ensure gym kits are in school at all times.
