End of term 2
Here are some of the activities that we have been busy with in Primary 6 as term 2 comes to an end.
St Andrews Day
To celebrate St Andrew’s Day, some of us wore a touch of tartan. Miss Cassley taught us to create our own Saltire flags and they turned out really well.
Advent
We have been having weekly assemblies with Mrs Martin during Advent. With Miss Cassley, we created our own Advent promises, deciding something that we want to work on during the season of Advent. We also created some baubles to decorate our tree, writing something that we are grateful for on it. We also really enjoyed learning about the tradition of the Jesse tree. We read some passages from the Bible and created our own symbols to represent each of the stories.
Health and wellbeing
We are trying to get outside as much as possible in an effort to stay active. We have enjoyed RADS with Calum and we also created our own exercise routines with the class. As the winter weather gets worse, please remind pupils that they are required to bring in indoor shoes that can be kept in school.
Christmas activities
We had a great day on Friday. We created Christmas placemats and enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch. In the afternoon, we got some sweeties (thank you Parent Council) and enjoyed watching an online pantomime.
On Wednesday afternoon, we will have our Christmas parties. It will be different than other years but we will try our best to have a fun-filled afternoon.
On Thursday, I will be handing out some certificates at our achievement assembly, celebrating some of our pupils being responsible citizens, confident individuals, successful learners and effective contributors. We will also share our Christmas performance on the Google classroom to spread some Christmas cheer with our families. We can’t wait to watch the other classes’ videos too!
Wishing you all a very peaceful Christmas and looking forward to seeing you all in Term 3!
