Primary 1 prepare for Christmas
On the 30th November we celebrated St Andrews Day by coming to school in a Touch of Tartan. We listened to the story of St Andrew and designed our own tartans. This was a nice way to start our Christmas preparations on the 1st December.
Primary 1 have been very busy making lots of crafty things to show for our A-Z of Christmas which we will share with families on Thursday. We tried to make something for each of the letters of the alphabet. Well done to everyone for learning their lines and saying them so nicely when Mrs Bain came to video our performance. Here are a few preview photos from what you might see in our show.
We have enjoyed our first Christmas lunch at school. We made placemats, hats and also put up some of our cute reindeer pictures that we made in class to make the dinner hall more festive. Here are some photos.
Primary 1 have also continued to enjoy RADS sessions. We had one more outdoors and also had our first indoor PE session. This was very exciting and a bit strange having PE in the dinner hall. Please try to watch out for Marvellous Me messages or on Google classroom for the days we have PE so that we all have the correct shoes and sports clothes to make it more comfortable to participate. Thank you to everyone who always has what they need for all weathers!
We continue to enjoy our morning activities in the sandpit. We have been using our whiteboards and pens to find numbers and words on the tree. We also collected some sticks to help us to make some lovely reindeer Christmas decorations that we will take home.
Remember to wrap up warm for the cold weather as we will continue to start most days outside if possible!
