Hello from Primary 3/4! Fit like?
We have been very busy during the first few weeks of 2015, working on our Scottish topic. This year, as we are a very arty class, we have been looking at Scottish Design.
We began by looking at local architecture and the reasons why Aberdeen is known
asĀ ‘The Granite City’. We went on an architecture hunt around Aberdeen University’s King’s Campus, where we saw buildings that were over 500 years old as well as the brand new Sir Duncan Rice library.
It was very cool. We even stopped off for a photo opportunity at the huge sculpture.
We became architects ourselves, designing either a garden, classroom, playground or school for a brand new (fictional!) St Peter’s. You can see some of our creations in the photographs. They are really good.
Angus the Bull from Aberdeen Football Club came to visit the school. He had the Scottish League Cup with him. We were lucky to get our photo taken with them.
This term we have also been having swimming lessons at the Aquatics Centre.
We hope you like our photos.
