In the Garden
P4/5, P4 and P5/6 have been busy in the garden beside the Janitor’s Lodge. As part of our topic this term we have been thinking about Laudato Si’ and how we can make a change for good. Alongside P4, P4/5 are focusing on the biodiversity aspect. While taking a survey of the school we realised there was an opportunity to improve the garden beside the lodge and so have set to work clearing the garden to make way for the seeds we have started growing in class. We are keen to attract bees and other pollinators to the garden so we will be planting attractive flowers for them and we have also put together some signs encouraging our neighbours to take part in “No Mow May” to help our local critters. The Critter Keeper helped us learn just how important different creatures are to the wider ecosystem so we want to help make a change for good. Watch this space!
