Primary 3 News!
Primary 3 have been working very hard during term 2 so far!
In numeracy, we have been learning about money and coordinates / grid references.
In literacy, we learned how to write Acrostic and Haiku poems. We are now learning how to make information leaflets and posters. We have also been working hard learning our new sounds and spelling words. We enjoy finding new fun ways to practice our learning.
We are a very creative class and enjoy taking part in Art. We created a lovely Autumn display with colourful wreaths, hedgehogs, owls and trees. We also made colourful firework pictures for Bonfire Night.
We are enjoying learning about our Enterprise topic, Chocolate. We have learned about the history of chocolate, cocoa bean regions and the process from bean to bar. We are now designing our own chocolates – we have used alliteration to create chocolate bar names!
We have been very lucky this term having visits from the Fire Engine and their team – who showed us all of the tools inside the Engine and we got a shot of the hose. We have also had an online visit from Laura who works with Fair Trade – she told us all about Fair Trade and linked it to our learning about chocolate.
We are very lucky to have Active Adventure Days at our school! We had great fun taking part in yoga, football dodge ball and parachute games. We also had a dance lesson from City Moves, we learned a dance and got to show off our own cool dance moves too! We are looking forward to the next Active Adventure Day!
