P1 January news

Happy New Year! We have had busy few weeks back in January and have been enjoying our learning. Here is some of our learning so far.

Numeracy

 We are learning about money. We have started to recognise and order coins, and then we will move on to use our skills in addition and subtraction using coins.

Literacy

We have been busy blending sounds to make words using our Fred Talk! From January, we have started using our sounds to write sentences. We have used these skills to write letters and we are getting better at it. We will move on to read more books and choose interesting characters to describe them.

Interdisciplinary Learning

In January Scotland is our IDL topic. We are enjoying reciting poems and singing Scottish songs and  learning new skills in dancing.
