Term 4
Primary have have had a jam packed last term of Primary school. Here is some of our Term 4 news!
A Trip in a time machine
This term we learnt about the Tudors as part of our context for learning, “A Trip in a Time machine”. The class loved learning about the Tudor era; creating their own Tudor roses, Henry VIII family tree, keys events in his life… and of course his famous wives! We also learnt about life in Tudor times, how it was different for the rich and the poor and we worked in cooperative groups to build our own Tudor houses.
Tomintoul
Our long awaited residential trip exceeded all expectations! The whole class had an absolute blast. Day 1, we went to visit Pluscarden abbey, Scalan and then made our way to the St Michael’s centre. Day 2 we went to Landmark which was so much fun. Day 3 we ventured home but not before we stopped off at the Nordic ski centre in Huntly!
Through the decades show
As part of our “Trip in a Time machine” every class took part in our Through the decades show, performing songs from different decades. We were assigned the 1930s and we performed “Puttin on the Ritz” and “Heigh ho” from the film Snow White which was released in the 1930s.
Confirmation
Sixteen P7 boys and girls received the Sacrament of Confirmation in St Peter’s Church. It was a lovely occasion! To thank the class for their hard work we had a Confirmation breakfast the next day with some delicious treats.
Sports Day
P7s last sports was a huge success with lots of worthy winners. The sun was shining a great day was had by all!
A Great adventure
We had great fun in the garden as part of our Great adventure, making smores, dancing, playing and den building. Thanks to the school for organising!
