P4 Update Term 2

In IDL we designed fantastic new inventions: we made robots, cars, life size dolls and many other! We were also very happy to see our parents in the open afternoon in November who came to see our inventions and find out more about what we do in class.

In December we started new IDL topic- St  Peter’s Arts Festival. We were busy learning about the meaning of the Advent. We made an Advent wreath and talked how we can prepare ourselves for Christmas. In Art we also made beautiful snowflakes and used them for our window display.

In December we also worked very hard on learning all the songs for our school Pantomime. We enjoyed the sessions with Miss Hamilton who helped us to learn the songs.

In Maths in November we were busy learning the times table and division. We were good at learning the connections between multiplication and division. We used different resources and learned to use aids like cubes to help us tackle division problems. In December we learned about money:  we looked at different coins and note and learned to use different combinations of coins to show the same value.

In PE in November we worked on improving our stamina and flexibility doing circuits. In December in PE we started learning how to play hockey. We worked on ball control, tackling and shooting.
