Term 2

We have had a busy term 2 with lots of fun learning opportunities along with exciting activities and events throughout the school.

Numeracy

We learned about time and fractions within term 2 and are moving on to look at shape and data handling in term 3 when we come back in January.

Literacy

We learned how to write persuasive letters, job advertisements & applications and looked how we would write a CV, linking our writing to our IDL topic of “Our World of Work”. Next term we will continue to link our writing to our IDL topics and will be looking at our cultural and historical Scotland.

PE

We had swimming for term 2 which we loved having the opportunity to go out and represent the school each week. We learned at different stages / groups in swimming and all developed our swimming. We will be looking at Scottish dance and basketball when we come back for term 3 in January.

IDL

We focussed on “our future world” and “our world of work” as our topics for IDL throughout term 2. We had lots of digital learning opportunities throughout this block and had great fun learning at the science centre and the Net Zero Technology centre. We will be looking at our historical and cultural Scotland when we come back in January, with our class focussing on the Jacobites.
