Myths and Legends-IDL summary

In term two P4/5 was working on Myths and Legends IDL. We had so much fun creating our own characters and drawing characters from Scottish legends.

We wrote many stories about magical Scottish creatures like haggis, Kelpies and magic bagpipes.

We enjoyed learning about this topic as it inspired our imagination to create new characters, stories and settings. It also gave us a possibility to link our learning in different areas of the curriculum. One of the things we enjoyed a lot was researching information about Kelpies statue in Falkirk and creating a leaflet about it.

In November we also learned about Remebrance day and celebrated it in our class with a two minute silence. We learned many facts about the purpose of the Remembrance day and created a window display.
