Primary 3 Welcome

Welcome to Primary 3s page!

So far this term we have been busy getting to know eachother and our new learning space. Our current context for learning is “We are all unique” and Primary 3 is focusing on “Our Class Family”.

In Maths and Numeracy we are focusing on number (including place value, sequencing) and shape, position and movement. We have been learning a variety of mathematical language.

In Writing we have been practising writing sentences using colourful semantics to help us know when a sentence is complete.

In P.E we are focusing on ball skills including throwing, catching and football.

R.E has helped us explore what it means to be a good friend. We have looked at stories such as “the good samaritan” and learned about St. Vincent de Paul and how he helps those in need.

A reminder to bring indoor shoes suitable for P.E so we can run safely in the gym hall. P.E days can be found in your welcome letter and will be shared at our “Meet the Teacher” event.
