P2 Blue end of term 1 wrap up!
(Please note: This post was written at the end of term 1 but due to technical difficulties it is only being published now.)
Dear Parents,
We have had a wonderful first term and are all due a well-earned rest!
This term, during maths and numeracy time, we spent some time going back over addition and subtraction and have learnt some new strategies. We have really enjoyed our active maths and have been making great progress!
We had a fantastic trip to Macduff Aquarium and enjoyed learning all about the different creatures and their habitats. We even got to have a look at some baby sharks wriggling about in their eggs! The children were so excited and the teachers were absolutely delighted with the children’s behaviour on the day.
We got the chance to touch different types of fish from the rock pool.
Reading has continued to blossom in Primary 2 Blue and we have been practising reading in front of the whole class in order to improve our confidence. I would strongly encourage trips to the library and reading for enjoyment.
We have been really enjoying football lessons where Rob from Aberdeen Football Club has been helping us to learn soccer skills!
In gym, we have been working on stamina and will work on ball skills next term.
Best Wishes,
Miss Corby
