P3/4 Class News
We have had a busy few weeks, settling in, getting to know each other and becoming accustomed to new routines.
Topic
Our new topic this term is ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. This is a cross-curricular project which offers many exciting opportunities to look at Roald Dahl’s characters, create our own inventions, explore money, learn about cacao beans and their origin whilst also looking into Fairtrade.
Literacy
We will continue to use Active Literacy methods to learn our phonics, spelling, reading and writing. Our Taught Writing lessons will be related to our topic.
Maths
We have been consolidating our number bonds, focusing on addition before moving onto subtraction. We are looking forward to Maths Week and will be doing a lot of Outdoor learning, concentrating on Data Handling. We look forward to taking part in our Maths Trail this coming week!
Attached are some photographs to show what we have been up to during the past three weeks………

We made some Chocolate Dough with Mrs Jadid.
We enjoy our football training sessions with the Russell Anderson team!
