P6/7 Blue

We have all settled back into school nicely and we enjoy learning in P6/7 Blue. This year, we have taken on lots of new responsibilities and learning challenges in school.

To contribute to our school community, we have been buddying with P1 Blue to ease their transition into Primary School. We ensure they are feeling welcomed and secure by playing with them, introducing them to teachers, helping them with lunches and many many more tasks.

In Maths, we have been looking at measurement with a focus on time and length. For Maths week, we helped the younger classes to complete Maths trails all around our school. We related Maths to everyday tasks at home as well.

In Literacy, we have been completing grammar challenges and lots of writing!!!! We have been using visual, audio and story starting prompts to make presumptions and write our own imaginative stories.

For our topic, we are researching Digital Technology and engaging with Technology to increase our knowledge and understanding of its uses. AwesomeTech have been in with us and we have been coding ‘Rovers’ to drive into our constructed stations. We have been focusing on position, movement, graphs and maps to help us do this.

We have two House Captains, Vera and Mateusz. This week our Pupil Council and Prefect representatives will be elected.
