P2 Red October-November

We have had a very exciting few weeks in primary two red. We learnt some fantastic African dances from Andy McKechnie. Our costume party with primary two blue and the primary ones was also a big success. We were able to show off our fabulous dance moves and play some exciting party games with a harvest theme.

We have all been working really hard with our literacy. Our new literacy aims are helping us ensure we progress. Please take a look in our homework jotters for them and keep discussing them with your child at home.

In maths we have been focusing on information handling, making block graphs, pictographs and tally charts. We made a class block graph to show what we had for lunch and went outside to make our own graphs using chalk. We will now be moving on to patterns.

Our topic for this term is ‘Under the Sea’. We have been learning a lot about floating and sinking. We have also looked at the water cycle and the different states of water.
