Primary 6 class news – November 18th 2014
We’re already half way through our second term in school, hard to believe it! As always, we’ve been very busy in the Primary 6 classroom. At the beginning of term we celebrated the harvest festival, collecting donations for people in need. Together the P6 class completed some data collection in relation to the donations that were made across the school. Some of the pupils in our class helped create a visual bar chart of the different types of food that was collected. As always, the pupils from St. Peter’s were very generous.
We spent a whole morning at St. Machar Academy for the primary 6 transition event. Everyone had a great time and got to experience Academy activities such as Home Economics, Construction and Music.
On Tuesday the 11th, the whole school went for a walk around Seaton Park exploring the beautiful scenery, noticing signs of autumn and hearing stories of The Saints. We partnered up with the primary 1 red class and we complimented them on their excellent behaviour and listening..
The theme for Children in Need this year was “My hero”. This gave pupils and teachers alike the chance to dress up as their heroes and we had a range of heroes who inspired us as well as the comic book and movie superheroes. We had some excellent costumes in our classroom including teachers, Coco Chanel, Tinkerbell among others. In total the school collected £165 which will go to make a big difference to Children in Need across the country
We are very lucky to have Miss Yang teaching us Mandarin every Friday morning for a number of weeks. Until next time, 再见 – zàijiàn
(goodbye in Chinese)
