Merry Christmas from P1 Blue
Over the last few weeks the children have been working very hard to learn their words and actions for the Christmas play. They enjoy wearing their angel costumes and are looking forward to performing to all their parents on Thursday.
Thank you to the parents who were able to come into school last week to receive the Primary 1 Bookbug packs. In the new year the children will revisit the books and then vote for their favourite one. Primary 1 blue will join Primary one children from all over Scotland in voting for their favourite out of the three books.
Along with “Lost for Words” and “Princess Penelope and the Runaway Kitten”, the children enjoyed listening to the final book, “Robot Rumpus.” They made their own fantastic junk robots.
A Big thank you to everyone who supported our class stall at the Christmas Fayre. The children did a fantastic job of making reindeer hot chocolates and gift bags.
This week we have been learning our final sounds of the year. We have enjoyed using “snow” to learn how to write the letters j and v. The snow is cold and sparkles! Next week we will be revising the sounds that we have learned this year.
We have been learning about 2D shapes this week. We went on a “Shape Hunt” around the classroom. It was lots of fun and we found heaps of shapes!
We wish you all a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
