Teaching your children at home
We are using Google Classroom to share lessons each day. If you have a problem with log in details, please e-mail stpeters@aberdeencity.gov.uk and you will be sent your child’s user name and password. The site for Google classroom is https://classroom.google.com/
You can use Google classroom to send messages to any teacher.
Parents, please e-mail or send a Google classroom message if there is anything that is not working well.
Teaching your own child can be a joy. You know him/her so well and your praise and encouragement mean so much to your child.
However, it can also be a challenge when it seems your child is not understanding something, no matter how many ways you try to explain. Be kind to yourself! Take lots of breaks and be patient.
Teachers are signposting children to fun ways of learning. Try to make learning fun rather than too formal.
We understand that parents are trying to work at home and may have several children wanting to get onto a computer at the same time. You have to do what works best for your family and go with the flow.
Everyone’s circumstances are different and you should not feel under pressure. Do what works best for your family.
Take care of yourselves so you can take care of others.
