November Update from Primary 1
We continue to have lots of fun learning in P1.
Here is a little photo update as we cannot fit all the photos of our learning on to our assembly slide each week.
Literacy
We are enjoying learning our letters and sounds. It was great fun testing out our kites in the sand pit one morning. It is also Book Week Scotland and we have been listening to the stories in our packs and doing some activities in school on them. We designed new jumpers for Brenda in “Brenda is a Sheep” and made some grass recipes from the story. We hope that she would like them!
The second book is called “My First book of birds” and we have been learning about some of the birds we might see in our gardens. We thought it would be fun to make a giant bird’s nest with the pallets and leaves in the school garden. We had lots of fun gathering the materials and working as a team to make a nest for everyone to fit in !
Maths
We have been learning about patterns and have worked hard at home as well as in class. We have posted some great homework patterns on Google classroom.

Health and Wellbeing
Primary 1 really enjoyed their turn on the obstacle course that the P7’s created for us as part of Children in Need day. We have also been following the activities from Active Schools Aberdeen and doing their exercises in class as well as some Cosmic Kids Yoga.
