Term 3 Update

I hope you all enjoyed the February long weekend! Learners have been very busy since their return to school.

In numeracy, we are learning about estimating and rounding, patterns and relationships and times tables.

In literacy, we are writing personal diary entries about the fun things we have been doing in school. We will begin imaginative writing soon. We are working hard on our reading and comprehension understanding too.

In topic, we have moved on to learning about Historical Scotland. Our class focus is Castles. We have looked at the locations of famous Scottish Castles on google maps and then created our own map showing the location of each, we have also created a timeline of these castles showing the oldest to most current. We have been busy creating some colourful artwork inspired by Paul Klee. We look forward to continuing our learning on castles throughout the term.

This term we are very lucky to have a 4 week block of swimming, we have been so excited about this and loved our first session. Prior to starting swimming we have been developing our skills in tennis!
