Welcome to P5

We are delighted to be back working hard in P5 for the new term at St. Peter’s. Here is a quick update of our learning so far.

Maths

In maths we have been focusing on the four operations and whole number work. This has involved thinking about place value, estimating and rounding and recalling number facts.

Literacy

We have learned and revised different skills for writing that could make our writing stand out. We have used techniques such as onomatopoeia and alliteration in our writing as well as using synonyms to up-level our choice of vocabulary.

Health and Wellbeing

As part of the process of creating our class charter we learned more about the rights that are particularly relevant to our class. We then tried to find the part of the SHANARRI wheel that these rights fit into.

R.E

We created storyboards retelling the story of creation and have used illustrations to sequence God’s creation. We also used this as a discussion point on the ways in which we can safeguard God’s creation.
