Term 1 in Primary 6
It has been a busy start to the new school year. We have spent the first few weeks creating our class charter and establishing our class ethos.
Rights Respecting Schools
At the beginning of the year we talked about our rights and we chose some we thought were important to our class. We made a poster to display this and we called it our Class Charter. The rights we chose are:
Article 6, 11, 34, 36, 37 – Right to be protected from harm. Article 13 – You have the right to find out things and share your opinion unless it harms or offends other people. Article 28 – Right to an education Article 39 – Right to help if you’ve been hurt. |
IDL
As a mini project, we have focused on Article 12 and sharing our opinions through debating. We made a book about all our debates. We have enjoyed getting started with our Pupil Voice Groups and having our say there too. Most recently we have been making posters and slides to get people to vote for us for Pupil Council.

Active Adventure Day
On Active Adventure Day we had alot of fun activities like table tennis, hockey, golf, Go Noodle, obstacle course. I like that we can wear sports clothes (Nina). I like that we don’t have to do any writing (Libby).

P.E
We are learning how to use a hockey stick and how to move it, we have learned the dribbles and how to pass. We have practised quick movement and had a go at a small hockey match. We also played the hockey version of King of the Ring, it was quite challenging.
