Term 3 Update

P1 have had a great time engaging with ‘Our Cultural Scotland’. There have been lots of opportunities to link this to our literacy, numeracy and expressive arts lessons. Some of the highlights have been learning two Scottish dances (Circassian Circle and Military Two Step) and our class poem/songs. We were also delighted to have a tasing afternoon of a range of Scottish treats!

Information on homework for each child will continues to be shared on Google Classroom.

We will now be moving on to our next context for learning ‘Our Historical World’. P1 will be focusing on Old Aberdeen and the exciting history near us at St Peter’s. We will be writing functional leaflets and recounting on personal experiences as we have a range of exciting trips planned. We will also be developing our understanding of symmetry by looking at some local buildings and through digital technology, creating an online museum.
