Term 4

Literacy

This term, we will be focusing our writing lessons on our IDL contexts of a trip in a time machine and a great adventure. We will complete a variety of genres of writing focussing on the Vikings and great adventures.

Numeracy

This term, we will be learning about measurement, money and fractions. We will be learning about measuring length, mass and area. We will be learning about money up to £20 and change.  In our fractions block, we will be learning about halves and quarters.

PE

This term, we will be learning about basketball, athletics and rounders as our sports. We will be learning about concentration and focus, coordination, leadership and teamwork within these sports.

RE

This term, we will be learning about the gifts that God has given us and how we could use them to help others. We will be reflective in our talents and look at ways we are helping others and ways we could improve our gifts to help others. We will also be learning about Mary the mother of God.

IDL

This term, we will be learning about the Vikings in our IDL context of a trip in a time machine. We will focus on the Vikings and base our learning for this context around the different aspects of the Vikings. We will then be focussing on great adventures and be planning our dream adventure. We are hoping to complete a class trip so we can all go on our own big adventure.

French

This term, we will be focussing on personal greetings and personal information in French. We will be looking at basic conversations and phrases used daily within the French language.
